Some of the Adaptive applications need to connect to a telephone system to work and some do not, as follows:

  • Adaptive CTI and Diallers require a supported telephone system.
  • The Adaptive Call Recorder can operate independently of a phone system. However, in this configuration you can only search for calls using the telephone line side information of time and date, CLI, DDI and direction of the call.
  • Adaptive Desktop SMS, Adaptive Messaging and Adaptive Web Assist do not need to connect to a supported telephone system.

The following table shows the telephone systems that have been tested by NMS. In most cases, the Adaptive applications have also been tested by the phone systems' manufacturer and NMS is, or has been, a member of the relevant manufacturers' Third Party Developers program or scheme. The Adaptive software also includes a generic TAPI driver. Please see below for further details about the generic TAPI driver.

Phone System Notes:

Systems denoted with * indicate that a special driver called "Go Connect" will be requried. This may incur additional charges. Please consult with NMS for details.

Systems denoted with ** indicate that the Go Connect Driver ahs been recommended so that Server 2008 and 64-bit operating systems may be used on the Adaptive Server computer.

Systems denoted with # indicate that the system only accepts a connection with one computer telephony application at the time.

The Adaptive software includes a Generic TAPI Driver that can be used to connect to non-supported telephone systems. This driver requires that the telephone system has a TAPI 2.1 Driver that supplies information about all the devices that the Adaptive software is to control. This is typically described as "TAPI 2.1 - 3rd Party Mode".
